In Hinduism, the Chaturthi tithi holds special significance. On this day, it is customary to worship Lord Ganesha. According to the Panchang , the Chaturthi tithi of Krishna Paksha in every month is dedicated to the revered deity Lord Ganesha.
This day is known as ‘Sankashti Chaturthi’. Observing a fast on this day removes obstacles in auspicious activities and brings benefits in career and business.
Scriptures state that if, on Sankashti Chaturthi, devotees offer only modak to Lord Ganesha with devotion, they receive his special blessings. He becomes pleased and fulfils all the devotee’s desires.
Paush Sankashti Chaturthi 2025
According to the Hindu calendar, the Chaturthi tithi of Krishna Paksha in the month of Paush will begin on 7 December 2025 at 6:24 pm. This tithi will end on 8 December 2025 at 4:03 pm. Considering the tithi, the Paush Sankashti Chaturthi fast will be observed on 7 December 2025.
Puja Timings
On Paush Sankashti Chaturthi, the auspicious time for puja will begin at 8:19 am and continue until 1:31 pm. There is another auspicious period in the evening from 5:24 pm to 10:31 pm.
Simple Spiritual Remedies for Conception
According to religious beliefs, on Sankashti Chaturthi, read the Ganesh Chalisa in the morning. During the reading, hold durva grass in your hands while remembering the Lord. After the recitation, offer modak to Lord Ganesha and also present durva. It is believed that spiritual practices such as these can bring the blessings of Lord Ganesha and increase the chances of conceiving a child.
