Taking a big step towards giving a new identity to Kabaddi in Uttar Pradesh, UP Kabaddi League’s new franchise Gajab Ghaziabad has roped in Bollywood actor Tusshar Kapoor as co-owner. This partnership is considered very important with the aim of promoting domestic sports and strengthening the roots of Kabaddi in Uttar Pradesh.
Ghazab Ghaziabad franchise is owned by Lakshya Sharma and Deepak Singh. The addition of Tusshar Kapoor at this crucial juncture of the team’s inception provides an experienced, trustworthy and popular face to the franchise. Tushar said that he is excited to be a part of the growing Kabaddi culture in UP and wants to contribute to the success of the league.

UPKL Season 2 starts from December 24, Noida will become the centre.
The UP Kabaddi League operates under the ownership of SJ Uplift Kabaddi and is considered among the strongest state-level leagues in the country. The league consists of 12 city-based teams that focus on giving a platform to local talent. Season 2 will start from 24th December 2025 at Noida Indoor Stadium. For this, a multi-year broadcast partnership has also been made with ZEE Sports.
