What to do in the month of Pausha?

Take bath in Ganga in this month. Worship Shri Hari Vishnu throughout the month of Pausha and do charity in the temple. Make sure to donate food in this month. Recite Bhagwat Geeta. On Amavasya and Purnima Tithi, perform Shraddha of ancestors and make donations.

What not to do in the month of Pausha?

Pausha month is considered to be the time of spiritual chanting and penance. In such a situation, do not consume non-vegetarian food and alcohol this month. Do not consume brinjal, radish, masoor dal, urad dal and cauliflower in this month. Keep distance from Tamasic and heavy food. Do not do marriage, housewarming or other auspicious work in this month. Do not insult anyone in this month.
