Shipping, health, defence, fertilizer… 7 big agreements signed between Putin and Modi

On the second day of Putin’s visit to India, 7 major agreements were agreed with PM Modi. Cooperation will increase in areas like e-tourist visa, labour, healthcare, food security, polar water training, ship building and urea production.

Putin India Visit Day 2: Russian President Vladimir Putin held bilateral talks with PM Modi at Hyderabad House on the second day of his visit to India. After this conversation, agreements were exchanged between the two countries. 7 major agreements were agreed between India and Russia. These include agreements related to sectors like migration, healthcare, medical education, food security, ship building, chemicals and fertilizers.

1- 30 days e-tourist visa for Russians

In the joint press conference with President Vladimir Putin, PM Modi made a big announcement for the people of Russia and said, India has started free e-tourist visa for the people of Russia. This e-Visa will be valid for 30 days.

2- Agreement on temporary labor activities

There has been an agreement between India and Russia regarding the movement of workers. Under this agreement, Indian workers will be able to come and go to Russia in a systematic manner. You will also be able to work at a better salary.

3- Agreement on healthcare and medical education

The agreement on healthcare and medical education will promote training, research and exchange programs for doctors, experts and medical students in both the countries.

4- Agreement on food security and standards

An agreement has also been reached between the two countries regarding food safety and standards.

5- Agreement on maritime cooperation

PM Modi said, our deep cooperation in shipbuilding has the potential to strengthen Make in India. This is a great example of our win-win collaboration, which will boost jobs, skills and regional connectivity.

6- Agreement on training in polar waters

PM Modi said- We will move forward with new energy on INSTC, Northern Sea Route. Will cooperate for training in polar waters. This will not only give new strength to our cooperation in the Arctic but will also create new employment opportunities for the youth of India.

6- Agreement on fertilizers

Under this agreement, India and Russia will jointly produce urea. India imports urea on a large scale from Russia. With this agreement, India will now also produce urea in collaboration with Russia.
