Motorola Edge 70 Special Edition Launch: Panton Cloud Dancer With Swarovski

Motorola Edge 70 Launch Update: Motorola is leaning into style with a new special edition of the Edge 70. This edition debuts Pantone’s Colour of the Year 2026 Cloud Dancer and also embellishes the rear with Swarovski crystals, fusing detailed fashion-led design with luxury smartphone hardware.

The new version is an evolution of Motorola’s existing design partnerships and gives us something that looks more couture than consumer tech.

Cloud Dancer with a Crystal Finish

Cloud Dancer (Pantone 11-4201) is described as a clean, soft white tone. Motorola has applied it to the Edge 70’s rear panel and elevated the look further by embedding Swarovski crystals. This special edition falls under the brand’s Brilliant Collection, meant to spotlight design craft over spec sheets.

It is the latest in a relationship between Pantone and Motorola to tie product colours with trend predictions. The introduction of the Cloud Dancer model follows April’s release of the Edge 70 available in Gadget Grey, Lily Pad and Bronze Green.

Motorola adds that the special edition will only be available in a limited number of international markets. Details about pricing and launch dates remain under wraps.

Specs Remain Unchanged from Standard Edge 70

The hardware of the standard Edge 70 remains on Cloud Dancer edition. That includes a 6.67-inch pOLED display (1220×2712), HDR10+, a 120Hz refresh rate, peaking brightness up to 4,500 nits and Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 combined with 12GB RAM and 512GB of storage. It is based on Android 16, under the Hello UI flavour, and there are guaranteed security updates until June 2031. The Moto AI features are also present.

A 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS is combined with an ultrawide lens featuring 3-in-1 light sensing for an additional 50-megapixel ultrawide lens and front camera, all supported by 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth, NFC connectivity as well as dual stereo speakers supporting Dolby Atmos support, face unlock and an in-display fingerprint reader.

Power comes from a 4,800mAh battery with silicon-carbon cell technology. For charging, there’s 68W wired and 15W wireless. The phone also has some serious durability – it’s got an aluminium frame and is MIL-STD-810H compliant, as well as being rated IP68 and IP69 for water and dust resistance. Its dimensions are pretty streamlined with 5.99mm thickness and just 159g weight.

Motorola hasn’t yet detailed pricing for this Swarovski-styled edition, but with the base model sitting around GBP 700 / EUR 799, expect its debut to land higher. For design-first buyers, though, the Cloud Dancer finish may be exactly what they’ve been waiting for.
