tulsi puja rules
Tulsi Puja Rules:Tulsi is considered very sacred and revered in Hindu religion. Tulsi is worshiped at home considering her as the mother. Water is offered with devotion. In mythological texts, Tulsi is considered to be the form of Goddess Lakshmi. It is said that Goddess Lakshmi resides in the Tulsi plant. Worshiping Tulsi and offering water at home helps in maintaining wealth, happiness and prosperity.
However, there are some special occasions when offering water to Tulsi is completely prohibited. If water is offered to Tulsi during these days, the flow of money and progress in the house may stop. Happiness and peace can be snatched away. In such a situation, let us know which are these three special occasions and why Tulsi should not be offered water on these occasions?
during eclipse
Be it a solar eclipse or a lunar eclipse, special caution is taken in all tasks at this time. Food is prepared before the eclipse by adding basil leaves in it, because during the eclipse period one should not accidentally water the basil plant nor should its leaves be plucked. Doing this is not considered auspicious at all. The time of eclipse is very sensitive, hence do not offer water to Tulsi at this time even by mistake.
on sunday
On Sunday, Tulsi Mata observes Nirjala fast for Lord Vishnu. Offering water to Tulsi on this day breaks his fast without water, hence water should not be offered to Tulsi on Sunday. On this day, Tulsi Mata should be worshiped only with flowers or emotions.
on the day of Ekadashi
The day of Ekadashi is also considered very special for Tulsi. On every Ekadashi, Tulsi Mata observes Nirjala fast for Lord Vishnu. Even on this day, their waterless fast is broken by offering water. Offering water to Tulsi Mata on the day of Ekadashi is considered a violation of spiritual rules. Besides, it has an impact on wealth, health and happiness and peace in the house, hence worship Tulsi on this day without offering water.
