HMD launches HMD 100 & HMD 101: New feature phones under Rs 1,000

New Delhi: HMD has added to its feature phone portfolio in India by introducing the HMD 100 and HMD 101, which focus on the high-volume below Rs1000 category. The firm is seeking to transition into volume leadership, whereby it provides easy-to-use and durable devices that are designed to make communication easier on a daily basis. The two models will be targeted at millions of people who continue to use simple, reliable phones with long battery life, durable design, and the features that they need.

According to the company, these new devices will serve a broad spectrum of customers, such as rural and semi-urban clients, older adults, delivery experts, factory staff, and any other person who requires a solid secondary phone. The two phones are also set to deliver reliable performance, sleek design and a 1-year replacement warranty – showing that HMD still prioritises quality despite entry-level features.

HMD 100

HMD 100 is designed in a smooth, comfortable style with choices of grey, teal and red. It has an 800 mAh battery targeted at all-day calling and messaging. The phone also features a clean, user-friendly menu to communicate instantly with close contacts and the most important features, which include a dual LED torch, wireless FM radio, Phone Talker, 10 Indian input languages, and 23 language renderings.

HMD 101

The HMD 101 is available in blue, grey and teal and has a strong but lightweight design. It is aimed at users that would wish to have the basic entertainment on the fly with the inclusion of an MP3 player, a wireless FM radio, and a microSD card. The phone is also equipped with ease in performance of calls and texts, a dual LED torch, auto-call recording, Phone Talker, and the same language as the HMD 100. It has a 1-year replacement warranty that strengthens its endurance.

HMD 100 and HMD 101 will retail at Rs 949 from 5 December 2025. They are available via retail outlets, marketplace giants, and HMD.com.
