A central hub for 24/7 support
Meta has launched a single support centre in Facebook and Instagram. One can now report straight away and seek quick answers using AI-supported search and access features of Meta, all at one location. The hub is being launched to the world in iOS and Android.
Meta is experimenting with an AI-supported assistant to gain immediate assistance in recovering and managing profile settings and management, first on Facebook.
AI tools strengthen security
Threats like phishing and suspicious logins are now better detected and prevented with the help of AI-based protection tools. The systems operate in real time and filter the real activity of the user and possible hacks. According to Meta, the number of accidental account disables also decreased, and the applications to restore the accounts are faster with AI.
Meta has reconfigured recovery in Facebook and Instagram with more specific steps and adaptive instructions. There are alerts warning of suspicious behaviour, the recovery features are available automatically, and systems have improved awareness of trusted devices. The user is also required to offer an optional selfie video to confirm identity.
Steps users can take
Meta recommends that users should perform a regular security checkup of apps as well as use two-factor authentication. Face ID or device PIN passkeys and stronger logins that use fingerprints are also offered on both Facebook and Messenger. In 2026, more tools and improvements should be expected.
