New aha guidelines 2025: Do you know that every 34 seconds a human being dies of heart disease in America. Not only this, high blood pressure is the biggest reason at the root of diseases like stroke and heart attack. This is the same disease that gradually weakens the blood tubes and emphasizes the important parts of the body like heart, brain and kidney. But it is more important to know the truth and take steps in time.
Blood pressure means blood pressure, the pressure from which your heart pumps blood into tubes. When this pressure increases excessively, it is called high blood pressure or hypertension. Initially, there is no big symptom of this. This is the reason why people keep taking it lightly and one day suddenly the risk of heart attack or stroke increases. Now you must be wondering why this happens. So its secret is hidden in our daily lifestyle. More salt, readymade and processed food, low sleep, frequent stress and weight gain- all these gradually work to increase pressure.
American Heart Association (AHA) Has recently released its new guidelines, which have been changed for the first time since 2017. According to the report, if the situation remains the same, by the year 2050, more than 18 crore people in America will struggle with high blood pressure and obesity. With this, the number of diabetes patients will also cross 8 crores. That is, the expenditure on heart diseases will increase by 300%. These figures are warning not only from America, but for people around the world.
But the good news is that the new guidelines have now launched a new tool “Prevent”. With this help, any person can know from the age of 30, how much he is at risk of heart disease or kidney problem in the coming years. Earlier this facility used to get from the age of 40 years. Think, now the doctors will already alert you so that you can pay attention to your health in time.
What is these 7 special advice of AHA
1) Reduce salt- Nowadays our diet has an average of 3500 mg sodium, while the need is only 2300 mg. Water stops in the body with excess salt and increases the pressure.
2) Keep away from alcohol- If necessary, then only 2 and women should take only 1 drink in the day. Alcohol not only increases weight but also shrinks blood tubes.
3) Decrease stress- By taking persistent tension, the body releases hormones which increase heartbeat and pressure. Yoga, meditation and deep breathing habit are helpful.
4) Lose weight- Fat accumulation on the stomach and waist is the biggest cause of blood pressure. You can feel a big difference even by losing just 5% weight.
5) Follow Dash Diet- This includes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, pulses, nuts and low-fat dairy. Research says that this diet protects not only blood pressure but also Alzheimer’s and dementia.
6) Exercise- Activity like 150 minutes walk, race or gym a week makes the heart strong and the pressure is reduced.
7) Monitor blood pressure at home Do not depend on the doctor. By checking at home, it is known in the initial stage itself.
