Storyteller Indresh Upadhyay: Vrindavan’s famous storyteller and bhajan singer Indresh Upadhyay is going to get married today, on 5th December 2025. Indresh, known for his famous bhajan Radha Gori and his popularity among young devotees, will start his married life with his fiancee Shipra by taking seven rounds. The marriage ceremony is being organized on a grand scale in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, where a wonderful confluence of traditional customs and cultural colors is being seen.

Trip timings: The main marriage ceremony and seven rounds will take place in the auspicious time of Abhijeet Muhurta between 10 am to 1 pm.

Who is bride Shipra Sharma?
Indresh Upadhyay Shipra Sharma, who is going to be her life partner, comes from a prestigious background. Shipra is originally from Yamunanagar, Haryana. His family currently resides in Amritsar, Punjab. Shipra’s father Pandit Harendra Sharma is retired from the post of DSP in Uttar Pradesh Police. It is said that there is an old and deep acquaintance between the two families, after which both of them have given this relationship the form of matrimony with mutual consent and blessings.
Royal procession and pre-wedding rituals
Indresh Upadhyay’s wedding procession left for Jaipur with much fanfare on Wednesday (December 3) from his ashram at Ramanreti in Vrindavan, his ancestral home. Before leaving for Jaipur, Haldi, music and traditional ‘Ghudchadhi’ rituals were performed with great pomp in Vrindavan. After reaching Jaipur, other wedding rituals took place, in which narrator Jaya Kishori also participated.
The Haldi-Mehendi program has been named ‘Kilol Kunj’ especially connecting it with the pastimes of Lord Krishna, where a stream of devotion was seen flowing. Indresh Upadhyay, who became the groom during Ghudchadhi, was wearing an off-white sherwani, traditional turban and a silver stick. The wedding processions held the symbol of Banke Bihari in their hands.
Gathering of saints and celebrities
This wedding ceremony will witness the presence of many renowned personalities from the religious and art world. Many great saints, mahatmas and storytellers have reached Jaipur to bestow blessings on the new couple.
