MPs from opposition parties protested in front of Makar Dwar in the Parliament complex on the issue of air pollution. Congress Parliamentary Party President Sonia Gandhi said, “It is the government’s responsibility to do something. Young children are suffering, and it is difficult for elderly people like me too.” Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said, “Which season should we enjoy? Look outside to see what the situation is. Small children, elderly people are not able to breathe. This situation is getting worse every year. Every year there is only rhetoric, no concrete action is taken. We have said that the government should take action on this, we stand with them. This is not a political matter.”
