In Jaipur, a widow and her lover were burnt to death by their in-laws. Both of them were tied to a pillar and set on fire with petrol, due to which they died in the hospital. Police have arrested 2 accused.
Jaipur: After the death of her husband, a 35-year-old widow and her lover were burnt to death by the woman’s in-laws. This shocking incident has happened in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The woman and the young man were admitted to the hospital after being badly burnt in the fire, but both of them died in the hospital due to 70 percent burns.
They tied them to a pole, poured petrol on both of them and set them on fire.
This incident happened in Dudu area of Jaipur. The injured were admitted to Sawai Man Singh Hospital in Jaipur, where the woman’s boyfriend died on Monday night. The woman died in the early hours of Wednesday. The victims have been identified as Kailash Gurjar, 25, and Soni, 30. Before dying, Soni told in her statement that she had gone to meet Kailash at around 2 am in the night. During this time the accused chased them. Then they tied him to a pillar, poured petrol on him and set him on fire. Despite opposition from the family, both were in a relationship. On the other hand, Kailash was also married. Soni was also married and has a 10 year old son and a 7 year old daughter. Her husband had died six years earlier, when she was 24 years old. Another shocking thing is that his 10 year old son is also married.
Both died in Sawai Mansingh Hospital
This incident took place at around 2 am on November 28 in Barolwa village of Mokhampura area. Soni’s in-laws saw both of them together in a farm, tied them to a pole, poured petrol on them and set them on fire. According to the police, Soni’s father-in-law Birdi Chand and brother-in-law Ganesh Gurjar had caught the couple together. During this, both of them were tied to a pillar, doused with petrol and set on fire. Both were badly burnt in the incident, Kailash suffered 90% burns and Soni suffered 70% burns. He was admitted to Sawai Mansingh Hospital. But Kailash died on Monday night, while Soni died at 3 am on Wednesday.
Talking about this, Mokhampura police station in-charge Suresh Kumar Gurjar said that a case of attempt to murder was registered in connection with the incident. After the death of both, it has now been converted into a murder case. Within 12 hours of this attack, a team led by Dudu’s ASP Shivlal Bairwa and DSP Deepak Khandelwal arrested the accused Birdi Chand and Ganesh Gurjar. The family members of the victims say that apart from these accused, many more people were involved in this incident.
According to investigating officials, tension had increased between the families after the love marriage between Soni’s brother-in-law’s son and Kailash’s niece last year. Because of this, there was a rift in the relationship between the two families and communication had completely stopped. In protest against the murder of Kailash, the villagers protested by blocking the Mokhampura-Bichon road. Later the authorities ended the protest by assuring strict action against the accused.
