Students of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya shine at the national level due to the empowerment policy of Yogi government.

On the initiative of Yogi government, Jaiprakash Sarvodaya Vidyalaya of Agra has become a strong center of education and sports for underprivileged children. Here, due to nutritious food, modern facilities and sports training, students are performing excellently at the state and national level.

Agra. Yogi Adityanath government is strengthening the policies of social justice and empowerment in Uttar Pradesh through education and sports. Under this effort, Jaiprakash Sarvodaya Vidyalaya (Swachhakar) located in Barauli Ahir Block, Itaura Gram Panchayat of Agra district has now become a center of hope for the deprived and economically weak children. This school is providing better environment, safe environment and quality education to the children. Presently 193 children are studying here.

The children in the school are being provided nutritious food as per the government standards so that they remain physically healthy and can pay full attention to their studies. More than a dozen students from here have shown their talent at the state, national and international levels in sports like cricket, yoga, power lifting, athletics and claw wrestling. Recently, the guru-disciple pair performed brilliantly in power lifting and won gold and silver medals and brought glory to the state.

Sumit won gold medal in National Power Lifting

Class 10 student Sumit brought pride to the school and the state by winning the gold medal in the National Power Lifting Competition of the year 2024-25. Sumit said that due to the good food and modern sports equipment provided by the government, he has been able to progress in power lifting. He said that earlier such facilities were unimaginable, but now they have got a strong platform to hone their talent.

Abhishek reached national level in claw wrestling

Class 12 student Abhishek has proved his talent in claw wrestling. He said that earlier he used to play only at the local level, but due to the inspiration and facilities received from the school, now he is also participating in national competitions. This school is proving to be a boon for those children who earlier did not get the opportunity to pursue sports.

Initiative towards equal opportunities and bright future

Chief Development Officer Pratibha Singh said that the objective of the Uttar Pradesh government is that every child, irrespective of his social or economic status, should get quality education and equal opportunities. The students of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya are now moving towards a bright future in sports and other activities along with education.

Social Welfare Officer GR Prajapati said that through Sarvodaya Vidyalayas, the government is paying attention to those children who were kept away from education and sports facilities due to poverty. He said that the main goal of the government is to connect these children with the mainstream and recognize their talent. This school has truly become a ray of hope for the poor and deprived children.
