Operation Sindoor: The Defense Ministry has made the biggest and most emotional revelation so far regarding ‘Operation Sindoor’, one of the most daring and secret operations in the Indian military history. For the first time, the names of the six immortal sons of Mother India who made supreme sacrifice fighting the enemies across the border in the month of May last year have been officially released by the government. Since this highly secret operation, there was a deep suspense in the country regarding the identity of these heroes. Now the government has not only announced their names, but has also made it clear that the names of these brave heroes will be inscribed in golden letters forever on the walls of the ‘National War Memorial’ located in the country’s capital Delhi. These six soldiers include five brave men of the Indian Army and one Wing Commander level sergeant of the Indian Air Force, who happily embraced death for the sovereignty of the country.
The bloody scene of Pahalgam massacre: which forced India to do ‘Operation Sindoor’
The background of this entire incident was created last year in Pahalgam, a beautiful tourist destination of Jammu and Kashmir. The terrorists carried out a cowardly attack there and brutally killed 26 innocent people. This massacre had shocked the entire country and only one voice was coming from everywhere – ‘revenge’. The Government of India and the high command of the Army without wasting time took a very tough and strategic decision. On May 7 last year, the Indian Army and Air Force jointly launched coordinated attacks on terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). India entered enemy soil and completely destroyed their launch pads. This retaliatory military action was given a very diplomatic and symbolic name – ‘Operation Vermillion’.

‘Sindoor’: A name that shook the enemy’s soul!
The Army did not just choose the word ‘Sindoor’ for this operation, but there was a very deep and angry symbolic message hidden behind it. ‘Sindoor’ symbolizes the sacred red thread and powder that traditionally married Hindu women adorn their maunds with. This operation was named ‘Operation Sindoor’ to avenge the tears of those women whose marriages were ruined after the death of many innocent husbands in the Pahalgam terrorist attack and the women who were untimely widows and to avenge the loss of that vermilion. This was a direct indication that India will bury those who play with the dignity and honor of its citizens on their own soil. After this attack, Pakistan immediately retaliated, due to which fierce air skirmishes, suicide drone attacks and heavy shelling started on the border. This fierce and hair-raising conflict between the two countries, which lasted for 4 days, finally ended on 10 May.
