Shubhanshu Shukla in Delhi: Indian Air Force Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla has returned to India after completing the space mission. He was a pilot of NASA’s Acom-4 mission, sent to the International Space Station. Subhanshu Shukla is the second citizen of India. Prior to him in 1984, Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma went to space. In this way, after 41 years, an Indian has taken a flying of space.

Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Dr. Jitendra Singh and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta gave him a great welcome at Delhi Airport. During this time his wife Kamna Shukla and son were also present. The mission was launched on 25 June from the Canedi Space Center in NASA, Florida, USA. Shubhanshu Shukla returned to Earth on 15 July and now he was strongly welcomed on the soil of India.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh welcomed Shubhanshu Shukla and shared a video on X. He wrote, “This is a moment of pride for India, a proud moment for ISRO. Thank you to the government that makes it possible under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. India’s space pride is now on the land of India. Mother Bharati’s son, Gaganayatri Shubhanshu Shukla has reached Delhi this morning.”

Dr. V. Narayanan and a group of students welcomed
Jitendra Singh also told that Group Captain Prashant Balakrishnan Nair has also come with Shubhanshu Shukla. Nair is one of the astronauts selected for India’s first Human Mission Gaganyaan and was backup for the ISS mission. At Delhi Airport, Union Minister Jitendra Singh, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, ISRO President Dr. V. Narayanan and a group of students warmly welcomed both.
PM can meet Modi
Indian Air Force Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla can meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PM Modi mentioned him in his Independence Day address. Shubhanshu will also attend the National Space Day program to be held on August 23.
