During this time his wife Kamna Shukla and son were also present. The mission was launched on 25 June from the Canedi Space Center in NASA, Florida, USA. Shubhanshu Shukla returned to Earth on 15 July and now he was strongly welcomed on the soil of India.

Mother Bharati’s son, Gaganayatri Shubhanshu Shukla has reached Delhi this morning.”

Dr. V. Narayanan and a group of students welcomed

Jitendra Singh also told that Group Captain Prashant Balakrishnan Nair has also come with Shubhanshu Shukla. Nair is one of the astronauts selected for India’s first Human Mission Gaganyaan and was backup for the ISS mission. At Delhi Airport, Union Minister Jitendra Singh, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, ISRO President Dr. V. Narayanan and a group of students warmly welcomed both.

Indian Air Force Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla can meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PM Modi mentioned him in his Independence Day address. Shubhanshu will also attend the National Space Day program to be held on August 23.
