Security forces killed 12 Maoists on the Bijapur-Dantewada border of Chhattisgarh. Three DRG soldiers were martyred. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai paid tribute to the martyrs and said, the campaign to end Naxalism will continue until there is peace and development in Bastar.
Raipur/New Delhi. Security forces have killed 12 Maoists in the dense forests of West Bastar Division on the Bijapur-Dantewada inter-district border. The joint operation which started on Wednesday morning is continuing deep inside the Naxalite stronghold. According to Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, on December 3, our brave security forces killed 12 Maoists in the ongoing anti-Naxal operation in Bijapur district. Continuous search and combing operations are going on in the area. In this encounter, DRG Bijapur’s Head Constable Monu Vaddi, Constable Dukaru Gonde and Constable Ramesh Sodi made the supreme sacrifice. I pay my humble tribute to these brave soldiers.”

Chhattisgarh CM Vishnudev Sai said, “I pray to God to give strength to the grieving families to bear this unbearable grief and peace to the departed souls. The remaining two soldiers injured in the encounter are out of danger. Arrangements have been made for their proper treatment. This sacrifice of our soldiers will not go in vain. This action against Naxalites is a clear indication that the end of red terror is now very close. Our government and our security forces will completely eradicate Maoism. We are fully prepared to end it. Our campaign will continue until the light of peace, security and development reaches every village of Bastar.”
