Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav directed to increase transparency, IT based monitoring and departmental coordination in the schemes of the Women and Child Development Department. A detailed review was conducted on Ladli Lakshmi, Anganwadi upgradation, nutrition improvement and action plan for the coming three years.
MP Government Schemes: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that all the activities of the Women and Child Development Department should be focused on nutrition, health and empowerment of women and children. He directed that the schemes should be implemented in a transparent manner and its benefits should easily reach as many people as possible. Special attention was asked to be paid to the use of IT in monitoring the programmes.
Need for better coordination between departments
The CM directed the officials to maintain strong coordination with the School Education and Health Department for the health of children and women, and the Technical Education and Industry Department for women to become self-reliant. These instructions were given in the review meeting of the Women and Child Development Department held in the Ministry. Minister Nirmala Bhuria, Chief Secretary Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Neeraj Mandloi and departmental officials were present in the meeting. In the meeting, the achievements and innovations of the department for two years were presented and the action plan for the coming years was discussed.
Strict monitoring on dropouts in Ladli Lakshmi Yojana
Describing Ladli Lakshmi Yojana as extremely important for the future of the daughters of the state, the Chief Minister said that there should be no dropout of daughters at any stage. Immediate action should be taken on dropout cases and the girls should be re-integrated into the scheme. He said that any kind of negligence will not be tolerated in schemes related to women and children.
Focus on security and structure of Anganwadis
The CM, in coordination with the Panchayat and Rural Development Department at the district level, gave instructions to construct boundary walls in all Anganwadis. The Chief Secretary asked the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance to conduct a study of district level innovations on a scientific basis, so that effective innovations can be implemented in other districts also.
State received appreciation at national level
Women and Child Development Minister said that the design of Anganwadi buildings and online monitoring module under PM Janman Yojana has been appreciated by the Central Government at the national level. Madhya Pradesh has received the maximum approval of 704 Anganwadi buildings and the construction progress is the highest in the country. “Moti Eye” innovation of Jhabua district has also received the Prime Minister’s Excellence Award for Malnutrition Prevention.
Major achievements of the last two years
- Madhya Pradesh became the first state in the country to make the entire recruitment process of Anganwadi workers online.
- The state stood first in the FRS process of take home ration.
- 20,243 children benefited from the sponsorship scheme, and the state stood second in the country.
- Advanced module developed for real-time monitoring of building construction.
- A 20 meter geo-fencing system was installed to ensure presence.
- Under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, assistance worth more than Rs 512 crore was given to 9.70 lakh pregnant women.
- An amount of Rs 36,778 crore was transferred from January 2024 to November 2025 under the Ladli Brahmin Scheme.
- Assistance was provided to more than 1,72,000 women through the Women’s Helpline and protection to 52,095 women through One Stop Centres.
- Under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme, 6,520 driving licenses and competitive exam training were given to 8,637 girls.
- 12,670 Anganwadi centers were upgraded as ‘Saksham Anganwadi’.
Major innovations going on in the districts
- Dindori: Under the Reva Project, nutrition and hygiene kits are being provided to children along with health check-up.
- Ashoknagar: Children are being given nutritional material and follow up is being done with public cooperation in Hriday Abhiyan.
- Dewas: Participation of private organizations is increasing in Kilkari campaign.
- Neemuch: In ‘Hamari Anganwadi’ campaign, Poshan Mitra is providing nutritious food and health check-up to malnourished children.
- Datia: Under the ‘Mera Baccha’ campaign, capable people are being motivated to adopt malnourished children and provide regular follow up.

Action plan for the next three years
- The provision of hot food from the central kitchen in urban Anganwadis will be implemented from 2026.
- Workbooks and development cards will be made available for the quality of pre-school education in line with the 2047 vision.
- More than 34 lakh girls will be given scholarship/incentive amount under Ladli Lakshmi Yojana.
- In the next three years, 9,000 new buildings will be constructed under the mega plan for construction of Anganwadi buildings.
- Under the Hub for Empowerment of Women scheme, major campaigns related to gender, security and legal awareness will be run.
- Under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, activities to complete education, skill training, self-defense and providing driving licenses to girls who have left school will be intensified.
