Apart from this, Ragi is hot in nature. Due to the presence of calcium, it strengthens the bones. Because of which it is beneficial for both children and elderly. Ragi is very beneficial for diabetic patients, because the fiber present in it controls the sugar level. Besides, weight also remains under control.
Ingredients of Ragi Cookies
Ragi flour 1 cup
Jaggery powder ½ cup
Desi ghee 3-4 tbsp
Cardamom powder ½ tsp
Sesame seeds 1 tablespoon (optional)
Milk 2-3 tbsp (as required)
How to make Ragi Cookies
First of all, mix ragi flour, jaggery powder and cardamom in a bowl. Add ghee to it and mix it well. The mixture should become like soft dough. If needed, prepare the dough by adding some milk. Make small balls and give them the shape of a cookie, apply sesame seeds on top. Heat the pan and cook on low flame for 45 minutes on one side and 34 minutes on the other side. (If you have an oven, bake at 180°C for 10-12 minutes) The cookies will become more crispy once they cool down.
