According to the Panchag, in the next year 2026, Kalpvasis can do Kalpvas for 29 days. The main attraction of Magh Mela is the royal bath. This fair is famous all over the world for the royal bath. On the day of Shahi Snan, a grand procession of saints and sages from the Akharas starts towards the Sangam bank. On the day of Shahi Snan, saints and sages take a holy dip with traditional rituals.

Magh Mela 2026: There will be six holy baths

  • Paush Purnima bath- This bath will be taken on January 3. With this Kalpavas will begin.
  • Makar Sankranti bath- This bath will be taken on 14th January when Lord Surya’s Uttarayan occurs.
  • Mauni Amavasya bath- This bath will be done on 18th January. This is the biggest and most important bath.
  • Vasant Panchami bath- This bath will be done on 23rd January. Saraswati Puja will also be performed on this day.
  • Maghi Purnima bath- This bath will be done on 01 February. This is considered the main bath of Kalpavasis.
  • Mahashivratri bath- This bath will be taken on 15th February. Magh Mela will end with this bath.
