In the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday, it was decided that the proposed temple museum will now be developed in almost twice the larger area – 52.102 acres. The project will be constructed and operated by Tata Sons from their CSR funds.
Big decision towards world class temple museum
Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that Tata Sons wishes to build this state-of-the-art museum on a non-profit model. For this, a special non-profit SPV will be formed under Section 8 of the Companies Act 2013. It will include representatives of the Central Government, Uttar Pradesh Government and Tata Sons. The tripartite MoU related to the museum project has been signed between the Government of India, the Government of UP and Tata Sons on 3 September 2024. This decision has made the pace and bigger vision of the project clear.
Grand cultural complex will be ready in 52.102 acres
Earlier, 25 acres of land was allowed in Manjha Jamthara village of Ayodhya for the museum. But realizing the need to make the museum more spacious and future-proof, Tata Sons had asked for additional land. On this basis, now 27.102 acres of additional land will be transferred from the Housing and Urban Planning Department to the Tourism Department.
This museum complex, to be built on a total of 52.102 acres, will give a new cultural identity to Ayodhya. Sant Samaj has also welcomed this decision. Saint Diwakaracharya said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is doing the historic work of restoring the glory of Ayodhya. Due to this, tourists are increasing in the city and employment opportunities are also being created rapidly.
Ayodhya’s new cultural identity and increasing tourism
Yogi government believes that the construction of this museum will give Ayodhya a new cultural symbol. With this, thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities will be created. After the consecration and flag hoisting in Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple, the number of tourists in Ayodhya has increased manifold. Now 2 to 4 lakh devotees and tourists are reaching Ayodhyadham every day.
This world class museum will become a major attraction especially for the young generation, foreign tourists and those interested in Indian cultural heritage. With this, the economy of Ayodhya will grow more rapidly.
Joy among Ayodhya residents, traders and saint community expressed gratitude
Ayodhya Vyapar Mandal President Pankaj Gupta expressed happiness over being given additional land. He said that it is a great fortune for Ayodhya that a world class museum will be developed here in 52 acres. According to him, there will be an opportunity to see the life character of Lord Shri Ram in the museum, which will attract a large number of tourists. With the increase in the number of tourists, employment of local people will also increase. The people of Ayodhya are very excited about this decision and are linking it to the bright future of Ayodhya.
