IndiGo Airbus A321 Incident: A major accident survived in Mumbai on Saturday amid bad weather. IndiGo Airbus A321 crashed once with the aircraft (Indigo Airbus A321). Actually, when the aircraft was about to land on the runway, the pilot did Go-Around Manoeuvre but during this time the aircraft’s tail collided with the runway.
Indigol’s statement regarding accident
Regarding the accident, IndiGo issued a statement saying that on 16 August 2025, our Airbus A321 aircraft conducted a low-altitude go-round due to adverse weather in Mumbai. During this time, Tail was touched by Runway. After this the aircraft re -approached and made safe landing.
Big accident averted, all passengers safe, investigation continues
Indigo airline reported that all passengers and crew are completely safe. The aircraft has been sent for immediate investigation after the incident. IndiGo said that we are all following safety protocols. The aircraft will fly again only after Regulatory Clearance from the required repairs and DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation).
