In view of the worsening weather, the administration is declaring holidays in different districts. This cyclone, formed over the south-west Bay of Bengal, is moving towards north-northwest and its effect is directly visible in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and coastal Andhra Pradesh. Yes. In view of the heavy, persistent and dangerous level of rainfall, Chennai District Collector Rashmi Siddharth Zagade announced the closure of all educational institutions in the district today, 3 December 2025. This decision was taken because waterlogging in many areas has made transportation difficult and the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of more heavy rains.
Tiruvallur School Holiday Update: Was holiday announced in Tiruvallur also?
- Tiruvallur administration has also decided to keep all schools closed today like Chennai.
- This decision was considered necessary considering the safety of the students, the condition of the bus routes and the continuously deteriorating weather.
