CM Mohan Yadav reviewed the education department, big improvement in schemes-examination results-facilities

Education facilities are expanding rapidly in Madhya Pradesh. The dropout rate has reduced from 21.4% to 16.8%. CM Dr. Mohan Yadav reviewed the schemes, hostel facilities, textbook distribution, vocational education and examination results and gave instructions for improvement.

Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that there is continuous improvement and expansion of facilities in the education sector in the state. Various schemes have been implemented to encourage the students. In the last two years, the dropout rate of the state has reduced from 21.4% to 16.8%. He directed that continuous efforts should be made to reduce it further and the benefits of incentive schemes should reach more and more students.

Conduct of examinations as per National Education Policy

In the last two years, as per the National Education Policy 2020, high school and higher secondary examinations were conducted on time and results were declared within the time limit. The Chief Minister said that under the new education policy, emphasis should be laid on making vocational education more comprehensive.

Review of activities of School Education Department

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reviewed the School Education Department in the Assembly Committee Room. He said that the principals of schools which have given excellent examination results should also be honored and encouraged. On the lines of ‘one building, many classes’, he suggested that an option should be created to conduct college classes also during free time in the same school building.

Progress of schemes and facilities

Several schemes were reviewed in the meeting, the major ones being:

  • free textbook distribution
  • Scooty distribution scheme
  • bicycle distribution scheme

Other than this:

  • DBT provided Rs 300 per student as sanitation and hygiene kit to the girls.
  • Facilities like washing machine, roti maker, mattress were provided in the hostels.
  • 210 hostels have been approved under the Prime Minister’s Tribal Justice Campaign.
  • Schools are being strengthened.
  • Modern education facilities are being provided to the students through Sandipani and PM Shri Vidyalayas.

Better exam results and quality education

In the first examination results of the year 2024–25-

  • Class 10th: 74%
  • Class 12th: 76%
  • The average result of first and second examinations was 87% and 82% respectively.

A record increase has also been recorded in the number of students passing in first division in government schools.

Major instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav

  • Distribution of books should be completed on time at every level.
  • A plan should be made to set up a bicycle manufacturing unit.
  • Sandipani Ashram Vidyalaya should be built on the lines of Navodaya Vidyalaya.
  • Special emphasis should be given to vocational education.
  • Agricultural education should also be included in schools.
  • Students should be given skill training as per their interest.
  • Teachers giving excellent results should be honored at the state level.
  • Problems of school access road should be resolved in coordination with other departments.
  • Private investment should be encouraged to open private schools in remote areas.
  • The portal and app of the education department should be improved so that the problems of teachers are reduced.
