From megastar Amitabh Bachchan to Badshah Shahrukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan, industry stalwarts have now become big players in real estate. Recently revealed data shows that many big actors have invested heavily in commercial and residential properties in prime locations of Mumbai, due to which they are earning lakhs and crores every month even without any shooting.

Latest reports suggest that Bollywood A-listers have invested lavishly in prestigious real estate companies like Shree Lotus Developers. Shahrukh Khan has invested about Rs 10.1 crore in this company, while Amitabh Bachchan has also invested Rs 10 crore. This trend shows that actors are no longer dependent only on acting fees.
Hrithik Roshan’s name is also prominently included in this list. Hrithik and his father Rakesh Roshan’s company ‘HRX Digitech LLP’ has recently purchased four commercial units in Mumbai. According to Maharashtra IGR records, this deal worth Rs 10.90 crore has been registered in November 2025. This property is in Andheri West, which is considered the hub of media and creative industry today. Due to strong connectivity and infrastructure, property prices in this area are skyrocketing, which will directly benefit these stars in the future. Not only this, artists like Ajay Devgan, Ekta Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Sara Ali Khan and Rajkumar Rao have also invested on similar lines.
Earning lakhs from rent
The biggest advantage of investing in real estate is passive income, i.e. regular income without any work. Many Bollywood stars are charging huge sums of money by renting out their purchased flats and office space. For example, actor John Abraham has leased one of his apartments in Bandra, a posh area of Mumbai. You will be surprised to know that he gets around Rs 7.50 lakh rent every month from this one flat. For this 36 month lease, he has received only Rs 24 lakh as security deposit.
Similarly, the famous actress of the 90s, Karisma Kapoor is also not behind. He has given his 2200 square feet luxurious apartment in Bandra on rent. In exchange for this flat, he gets Rs 5.51 lakh every month. The annual package for a common working person is one month’s rental income of these stars. Rakesh Roshan has also recently purchased 5 office spaces with his wife for Rs 20 crores, which will now become another source of income for him.
Kajol and Big B’s ‘Property Empire’
Ajay Devgan and Kajol have not limited their portfolio to Mumbai only. He has a very beautiful 5 BHK villa in Goa, which has been given on rent. If someone wants to experience luxury life there, then he will have to pay Rs 50 thousand for a day. Apart from this, Kajol has also rented an office space in Goregaon, Mumbai, which generates a monthly income of Rs 7 lakh.
