New Zealand’s Prime Minister accompanied by local MP Rima Nakhle attended the event held at Luxon Takanini, where he participated in the opening ceremony, met the players and interacted with local artists and volunteers. This annual gathering is organized for the Sikh community for sports, cultural activities and celebrations.
Laxan tried his hand in making Jalebi
Meanwhile, when Laksan went near a big pan filled with hot oil, he learned how to make jalebi. He was standing behind the cook trying to make jalebi. The audience recorded these moments as he smiled as he tried to make the curved jalebis in the pan.
Sharing the video on Instagram, Laksan wrote, “Joining the Sikh Games in Takanini today with local MP @rimanakhlenz. Good luck to all the competitors – and everyone who gets to eat my attempt at making jalebi!”
