Delhi-Dehradun Expressway has opened for trial run. This will reduce the travel time from 6.5 to 2.5 hours. This 210 km long expressway will connect Delhi, UP and Uttarakhand.
New Delhi : Delhi-Saharanpur-Dehradun Expressway opened for trial run on Monday. After the operationalization of this expressway, the travel time between Delhi-Dehradun is expected to reduce from 6-6.5 hours to just 2-2.5 hours. Giving his reaction on the trial run, a motorcyclist named Lokesh expressed hope that the government will soon inaugurate this expressway. He said that this will help the passengers to avoid traffic jams. Lokesh said, “Today it has been opened for trial run. This expressway will help us as it will save us from traffic jams. It will save time. We hope that the government will open it soon and hand it over to the public.”
Meanwhile, the 32 km long stretch of this Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is expected to be inaugurated in the last week of December or the first week of January. This expressway is 210 kilometers long and will connect the three states of Uttarakhand, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. Earlier, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman chaired the 11th Pre-Budget Consultation with experts from infrastructure and energy sectors in New Delhi, another step in the preparation for the Union Budget 2026-27.
