Raisen Bridge Collapse: ‘Nayagaon Bridge’ located on Bareilly-Pipariya road in Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh collapsed, in which many people were injured and a youth died. This bridge is said to be 50 years old.
A major accident took place in Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh when a 50-litre truck situated on the Bareilly-Pipariya road (State Highway) collapsed. The surprising thing is that the bridge collapsed when vehicles were passing over it. As soon as the bridge collapsed, two bikes fell down, injuring a laborer and four bike riders. It is said that a young man has also died in this.
This bridge of Raisen Bareilly is 50 years old
Actually, this bridge built on Bareilly-Pipariya road is about 50 years old. Which was being repaired, but in the meantime this accident happened. Now the bridge has been completely closed. In the case of bridge collapse, the administration took major action and suspended manager AA Khan due to negligence. A three-member committee has been formed for investigation, which will submit its report to the department officials within 7 days.
Workers were working and the bridge collapsed
Regarding the matter, Bareilly SDOP KS Mukati said that as soon as the news of the accident was received, the police reached the spot and all the injured were admitted to Bareilly Government Hospital. After this the serious people were referred to Bhopal AIIMS. But injured bike rider Devendra Dhakad died during treatment at Bhopal AIIMS. The official said that repair work of the bridge was going on. In which 6 laborers were working, as soon as the bridge started collapsing, somehow the laborers ran away and saved their lives. But the bikers passing above fell down.
Minister Narendra Shivaji Patel reached the spot
In the case of bridge collapse, area MLA and Madhya Pradesh government minister Narendra Shivaji Patel reached the spot as soon as the information was received. He reached the spot and inspected it with the officials. The Minister said – On the instructions of the Chief Minister, instructions have also been given to make proper arrangements in hospitals from Bareilly to Bhopal for the speedy treatment of the citizens injured in the incident.
Load Bearing Test being done on 40 year old bridge
The minister said- This bridge was ancient, the repair work of which was going on. Necessary guidelines have been given regarding the investigation of the incident. Besides, departments like NHAI, MPRDC, PWD etc. have also been directed to conduct Load Bearing Test of bridges which are more than 40 years old in the assembly constituency, so that recurrence of such accidents can be avoided.
