There is news that Gambhir does not want these two senior players in the team. BCCI is also troubled by the bad relationship between the two with head coach Gautam Gambhir. National media have reported on this matter. This relationship deteriorated further after both of them retired from Test cricket. There were also reports that both of them had retired from Test cricket only after Gambhir’s intervention.
At present, both are playing for India only in ODI format. The report says that communication between Gautam Gambhir and senior players of the team has reduced.
