Groom’s zig-zag driving wreaked havoc at midnight, 23 year old chef died

A groom returning from a wedding in Delhi hit three chefs with a speeding Mercedes. In this accident, a 23-year-old youth died on the spot, while two others are seriously injured. The car driver escaped safely.

Similarly, after finishing their work, these young men were also waiting for an auto to go home at around 2 o’clock in the night, when the driver of a Mercedes E-63 car, who came like Yamraj, hit them while driving at high speed and in a zig-zag manner. As a result, 23-year-old Rohit died on the spot, while 35-year-old Lalit and 23-year-old Kapil were seriously injured. According to reports, the driver of the Mercedes E-63 was returning from his wedding reception.

Zig-zag Mercedes crushes people waiting for auto

Deceased Rohit and injured Kapil and Lalit, all three were residents of Uttarakhand and lived in Munirka in south-west Delhi for work. All three worked as chefs in a restaurant in Vasant Kunj. This tragic accident happened near Nelson Mandela Marg in Vasant Kunj in south-west Delhi.

Accident while returning home after work, one dead

Police received information about the accident at around 2:30 in the morning. When they reached the spot, they found a Mercedes G-63 car overturned, with the airbags of its front and rear seats deployed. All three who were seriously injured in the collision were immediately taken to the hospital. But doctors declared Rohit dead on reaching the hospital. Lalit and Kapil are undergoing treatment.

According to the FIR registered in the case, all three were going home after finishing their work at around 2 in the morning. When they reached the bus stop on Nelson Mandela Road, around 2:15 am, a speeding and recklessly driven black car hit them. The car first hit the road divider and then ran over it.

The car hit and dragged two people

Seeing the car coming towards them, all three tried to run towards the footpath to save themselves. But the car was so fast that they could not escape the accident. The car hit all three hard and dragged Rohit and Kapil for some distance. Eventually, the vehicle overturned after hitting an iron pillar on the left side of the road and stopped, as stated in the FIR.

Software engineer’s work

The speed of the vehicle was so high that in this incident both an electric pole and a tree were uprooted. At the same time, the car driver who took the lives of innocent people by driving carelessly has been identified as Shivam Arora, a 29-year-old software engineer from Karol Bagh.

People sitting in the car were saved when the airbag opened.

The incident occurred when the accused was returning home with his wife and brother after attending his wedding reception at a hotel in Vasant Kunj. Accused Shivam Arora works in a multinational company in Noida. Police said that due to the timely opening of the airbags, nothing happened to the three people sitting inside the SUV and they themselves came out of the vehicle.

The SUV was also heavily damaged in the accident, with all four tires burst, the rear window broken and the front end badly damaged. Police said that the Mercedes car is registered in the name of the accused’s friend Abhishek. Police have said that they are waiting for the medical report to check whether the driver had consumed alcohol or not. Overall, a 23-year-old young man who had left his town to earn a living lost his life because of the show-off of big people.
