Parliament Session Update: ‘No drama – delivery, no slogans – now the policy will work’ PM Modi’s strong message to the opposition

Before the winter session of Parliament, PM Modi urged the opposition for a meaningful discussion. He asked to leave aside the frustration arising from the defeat in Bihar elections and focus on policy in the national interest and focus on delivery instead of drama.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on Monday ahead of the winter session of Parliament. He asked the opposition parties to focus on making the Parliament session meaningful for the public. Taking a dig at the opposition, he said- They seem to be upset due to the recent defeat in Bihar elections. He asked the opposition parties to forget their differences and work together to ensure that good policies and laws are passed in the Parliament, so that like the monsoon session, this session too does not get marred by uproar.

PM said- no drama, need delivery

PM Modi said, “I would request everyone to think about the issues. There is a lot of space for drama, whoever wants to do drama can do it. There should be no drama here, there should be delivery. Whoever has to raise slogans, the whole country is there for him. You have already done this during the defeat in Bihar elections. But here the emphasis should be on policy, not on slogans. Maybe negativity can work in politics, but in the end, positive thinking is necessary to build the country. We should keep negativity aside and focus on building the country.”

Modi urged all parties

He said, “The opposition should also raise strong and important issues in the Parliament. They should come out of the disappointment (of the electoral defeat) and participate. I thought that it has been a long time since the Bihar elections, so they would have calmed down, but yesterday it seemed that the impact of the defeat was clearly visible on them. He urged all the parties that the winter session should not become a ground of frustration due to defeat, nor should it become an arena of pride born of victory. The focus of this session will be on this. There should be what the Parliament is thinking for the country, what it wants to do for the country and what it is going to do for the country. The opposition should also fulfill its responsibility and raise strong issues in the discussion.”

This session of Parliament will last for 19 days

Earlier, members of INDIA had held a meeting on Monday. In this, the strategy of the opposition group was discussed before the session of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha lasting about three weeks. According to Congress sources, Trinamool Congress (TMC) MPs did not attend the alliance meeting. He gave the reason that he is busy in his party meeting before the winter session. This session of Parliament will last for 19 days, in which 15 meetings will be held. Private members’ bills will be considered on 5 and 19 December and private members’ proposals will be considered on 12 December. The last monsoon session was virtually “ruined” due to continuous sloganeering and protests by opposition parties. This time the opposition parties also want to raise issues like the recent Delhi blasts near the Red Fort, poor air quality in the capital and foreign policy.
