Kia tease next-gen Seltos ahead of December 10th unveiling

New Delhi: Kia have released the first official teaser of the next-gen Seltos before the midsize SUV’s complete reveal on Wednesday, December 10th. While the teaser manages to keep most details under wraps, it does show the different design language for the upcoming Seltos.

The Seltos comes with a design language similar to the Kia global models, especially at the front, with the midsize SUV coming with a wide ‘Tiger Nose’ grille, which is lined with chrome and features sharp vertical DRLs. The main headlight units are placed within the edge of the grille and include C-shaped, vertical and horizontal LED signatures as well.

The teaser also showed the LED welcome animation feature for the DRL units and headlights, and the Kia emblem sits right above the grille. The camera also moves upwards to show off the panoramic sunroof. Kia Seltos has direct competition from its cousin, Hyundai Creta, since Kia launched the SUV in India back in 2019.

While there is nothing known about the mechanics yet, Kia could continue with the existing powertrain and might add a hybrid version as well, like most carmakers. However, all of this will be unveiled on December 10th, when Kia unveils their long-serving Seltos.
