During Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Jammu and Kashmir, a video of a girl is going viral on social media, in which she says emotionally – ‘Love you Shah ji.’ This girl is a resident of Poonch district and is from the area recently affected by Pakistani firing.
Who is Jaskiran Kaur? Jaskiran belongs to a Kashmiri Sikh family and is a local resident of Poonch. In an interview given to ANI, he told how he and the people of the area met Home Minister Shah and explained their situation. Jaskiran said, ‘We told them who suffered what loss in the firing by Pakistan. We have full hope from Shah ji that he will definitely help us.
“Nice to meet Shah ji” – Jaskiran Kaur Jaskiran said, ‘There has been a lot of damage in Poonch. There are no bunkers, medical facilities are negligible. We are living in an environment of fear, yet we have not given up. Jaskiran told the media, ‘As soon as we came to know that Shah ji was coming to Geeta Bhavan Gurudwara, we were waiting for him since morning. It was great to meet him. He listened to everything we said patiently. His behavior was very simple and cordial. He also added that ‘we were with the Indian Army and will always be. I am confident that PM Modi, Shah sir and the BJP government will fulfill the promises made to us. 
Home Minister’s visit to Poonch and interaction with the public On 30 May 2025, Amit Shah visited the border areas of Poonch. He met the families damaged in the firing after ‘Operation Sindoor’ and assured them of relief. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha was also present along with Shah. He had also handed over appointment letters to the victims.
