Fog will increase from western UP to Terai, mercury will slip and the last 10 days may be the coldest. Talking about the weather of the last 24 hours, there was dense fog in many districts in the morning. The temperature increased by 2-3°C during the day. Ballia was the coldest, where the minimum temperature reached 8°C. Air quality is bad again in Noida-Ghaziabad. The afternoon sun gave some relief but the shivering increased again in the evening. Right now the day temperature in Uttar Pradesh is around normal, but the nights are slightly cold.

According to IMD, after December 10, cold will increase rapidly, cold winds will blow in the morning and evening. A thick blanket of fog can be seen in the western and Terai areas. The last 10 days could be the coldest days of the year. The minimum temperature may go down to 8-10°C or even lower in many places. Dense fog, slow visibility and impact on traffic may be seen from Lucknow to Gorakhpur.

According to IMD, the maximum temperature in December can be around 25°C and the minimum temperature can be around 6-8°C in Western-Central UP. It is expected to be 10-12°C in eastern UP. If the Western Disturbance becomes active then the impact of snowfall in the hilly areas may reach up to UP.
