Entry of rain in South India
By Sunday night, Cyclone Ditva has weakened into a deep depression. According to IMD, this system will remain over the south-west part of the Bay of Bengal, about 20-25 km off the coast of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry till today morning. Today areas like Cuddalore, Nagapattinam, Chennai, Tiruvarur, Pudukkottai, Kanchipuram, Tiruchirappalli, Puducherry and Karaikal may experience heavy rain, thunderstorm and gusty winds. The wind speed can go up to 60-70 km/hr, for some time it can even cross 80 km/hr. Fishermen have been advised not to go into the sea even today. Sea will be rough in Bay of Bengal, Gulf of Mannar and near Tamil Nadu-Andhra coast.

The coldest day of this season was recorded in Delhi on Sunday. The maximum temperature was 24.3°C, which was the lowest temperature of November this time. Even today the cold will be strong in the morning, light fog may prevail and there will be some respite from sunlight during the day.

The temperature is continuously falling due to the strong westerly wind. Talking about the weather of major cities, the maximum temperature in Patna can be 27.2°C and minimum 16.8°C. Gaya may experience 27.6°C and 13.4°C, Bhagalpur 26.8°C and 15.0°C, Muzaffarpur 25.8°C and 15.7°C. The minimum temperature has gone down in 16 districts, due to which the chill has increased in the morning.
