Ujjain: A surprising case has come to light from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. Here in Badnagar, during the Muharram procession, a car was hung 40 feet above a crane and then it was blown up with firecrackers. All this happened when a crowd of thousands had gathered below. This incident happened on 24th June. Police have registered a case against four people in this matter.
According to local media, this dangerous stunt was done to become popular on social media and attract people’s attention. Actually, there was competition among the Akharas of the area, due to which this stunt was done. The video of this incident went viral on social media, after which the police came into action. The police immediately started investigation and registered a case against four people including the organizers.
The incident occurred when the procession reached Adan area of Badnagar. It was written on the car used for the stunt, “Take it back again”. As soon as two youths waved red flags, there was a huge explosion in the car and there was smoke all around. Police investigation revealed that rocket-like firecrackers were burst continuously inside the car hung from a crane. Due to the gas pressure created by the firecrackers, the glass of the car broke, making it appear as if a big bomb had exploded. Police have clarified that apart from firecrackers, there was no other explosive in the car.

After the video went viral, police have registered a case against organizers Shoaib Khan, Taleem Khan, Zahid Khan and crane owner Gopal Malik under different sections of the Indian Justice Code. Police officials said that they were given permission only to take out the procession and not for any such dangerous stunt or explosion. Police say that the trend of doing such deadly stunts is increasing among the youth for reels and likes on social media like Instagram.
It is fortunate that no one was injured in this incident. Police say that strict action will be taken in this matter, because it could have caused a major accident.
