Pune Lohagad Fort Murder Case: A velvet yet horrifying murder mystery has emerged from Pune, Maharashtra, whose script has shaken the richest and elite families of the country. This is the story of Sia Goyal and her rich fiance Ketan Aggarwal. Both the families had announced the engagement with much fanfare in February this year. In the coming November, such a grand and royal wedding of both of them was going to happen, which was discussed in the entire country. A historic palace in Jaipur was booked for a whopping sum of ₹17 crore and even two private jets were arranged to transport the guests. But behind this luxurious shine, a very dreadful and disgusting conspiracy was ripening, the outcome of which was certain to happen in the deep ditch of the historic Lohagarh Fort of Pune.
‘I will not be able to escape marriage’: The first confession of the accused fiance after the murder
When the main accused Siya Goyal was strictly interrogated after being caught by the Lonavala Rural Police, he made many shocking claims before the investigators. According to sources, Sia told the officials that she did not want to marry Ketan as she was in a deep secret relationship with a young man named Chetan Chaudhary since November 2025. Siya claims that when she expressed her desire to end the marriage to Ketan, he threatened her by saying that his family was very “influential and rich” and that no matter where she ran away, she “wouldn’t be able to escape” from the marriage. However, the police are considering these statements of Sia as just an excuse for self-defense and a thorough judicial and legal investigation of the matter is going on.

That first failed attack of Lohagarh Fort: When life was saved by showing ‘fake snake’
The truth that has come out from the police files and investigation is like a hair-raising thriller film. Sia Goyal and her lover Chetan Chaudhary had prepared ‘Plan A’, ‘Plan B’ and even a ‘Plan C’ to remove Ketan from the way. On June 14, Siya very viciously took Ketan to the heights of Lohagarh Fort on the pretext of taking him for a ride. There at a very deserted turn, Siya pushed Ketan from behind into a deep ditch. But luckily Ketan hung on to a strong bush growing on the side of the rock and his life was saved. To hide her act, Siya immediately used her brain and diverted Ketan’s attention by making a fake noise of ‘snake-snake’. Ketan felt that Siya was scared. Siya pulled him up from the bush and hugged him and pretended as if nothing had happened.
‘Secret Lover’ was called again: And Ketan’s story ended
Sia did not stop after her first attempt failed. He very cleverly convinced Ketan to go again to another high and dangerous point of the fort. But this time he did not take the risk alone; She called her secret lover Chetan Chaudhary also at the same point. When Ketan was standing with his back towards the deep ditch, Siya and Chetan together pushed him down with all their strength. Ketan died tragically on the spot after falling into a rocky ditch hundreds of feet deep. Initially, Sia tearfully told the police the story that while taking a photo (selfie) in the strong winds, Ketan’s foot slipped and it was an accident. 2,004 calls and 238 hours of suspense: When the false story of ‘accident’ broke
It is said that no matter how clever a criminal is, he always leaves some clues. When the police were talking to Sia after Ketan’s death, the officers were shocked that despite the death of her fiance, there was no sadness or shock in the woman’s behaviour. As the suspicion deepened, the police seized Sia’s mobile and searched her call details (CDR), which exposed the entire ‘incident’. Investigation revealed that Sia and her boyfriend Chetan Chaudhary had made 2,004 phone calls to each other in just seven months, which was a total of more than 238 hours of conversation. This was the same time when on one hand the family was booking wedding dresses and palaces, and on the other both of them were planning Ketan’s death.
‘That idea of death was yours’: Now behind bars, people are blaming each other
After being arrested and confessing to the crime, this murderous couple is now throwing mud at each other in front of the police. Siya and Chetan, facing charges of murder and criminal conspiracy, are now trying to prove their innocence. During interrogation, lover Chetan Choudhary told the police, “My aim was only to elope with Sia and get married, but fearing the social prestige and infamy of her family, Sia had insisted on Ketan’s murder.” On the contrary, Sia told the investigators that the entire masterplan of the murder was Chetan’s and that on June 14, when Ketan had survived for the first time, Chetan had started crying in front of her out of fear and it was she who had pressurized him to push again. This journey that started with the dreams of a royal wedding has now transformed into a prison cell and court rounds, where Ketan’s helpless parents are begging for justice for their only son.
