How to do this practice?
- For this, lie down on a yoga mat or sheet spread on the floor.
- Now, keep your pate flat on the ground and lift it into the air, supporting only your feet against the wall.
- In yoga it is also called ‘vipareet karni’.
- Leave your hands loose and take deep breaths.
- Remain in this position for 5-10 minutes.
- Bring the legs back down at the appointed time.
What happens when you lie down with your legs raised?
Oxygen supply is better
Nidhi Kakkar says, when you lie down with your legs raised, with the help of gravity, blood starts flowing from the legs upwards i.e. towards the heart and brain. This can improve the supply of oxygen in the body.
