Mokshada Ekadashi 2025: Mokshada Ekadashi falls on the Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Margashirsha month. On this day, Lord Vishnu is worshiped and fasted as per the rituals. According to Hindu beliefs, fasting and worshiping on the day of Mokshada Ekadashi leads to salvation after death. Fasting and worship brings happiness in life. The house is full of wealth and grains. One receives the blessings of Lord Vishnu.
By fasting and worshiping on the day of Mokshada Ekadashi, ancestors attain salvation. Good luck and prosperity are achieved. On this day, along with worship, lamps are also lit at some special places. It is believed that by lighting lamps at these places on the day of Mokshada Ekadashi, one gets the blessings of Lakshmi Narayan.
Mokshada Ekadashi 2025 Date
According to the Vedic calendar, the Ekadashi tithi of Shukla Paksha of Margashirsha month is starting today i.e. on 30th November at 09.29 pm. This Ekadashi Tithi will end on 01 December i.e. tomorrow night at 07:01 PM. In such a situation, the fast of Mokshada Ekadashi will be broken on 1st December i.e. tomorrow.
On the day of Mokshada Ekadashi Light lamps at these places
- On the holy day of Mokshada Ekadashi, a lamp must be lit at the main entrance of the house. It is believed that this prevents negative energy from entering the house.
- On the day of Mokshada Ekadashi, a ghee lamp should be lit near Tulsi both in the morning and evening. It is very auspicious to do this. By this one gets the blessings of Lakshmi Narayan. Also, positive energy increases in the house.
- On the day of Mokshada Ekadashi, one should go to the temple of Lord Vishnu and light a lamp. This removes the ongoing problems in life. One receives special blessings from Lord Vishnu.
- Peepal tree is considered very special in Hindu religion. Gods and ancestors reside in the Peepal tree. On this day a lamp should be lit under the Peepal tree. With this the ancestors are pleased and give blessings.
