Trump and Putin’s meeting in Alaska was inconclusive.
An important summit was held on Friday (15 August 2025) between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Encourage, Alaska. Although the two leaders did not reach any concrete result in this summit regarding the Ukraine-Russia war, but in this two and a half to three-hour meeting, the leaders of both the superpowers spoke on the regional agreement. This was the first formal meeting of the two leaders during the G20 summit. Although this meeting was fixed for 30 minutes, it lasted about 2:15 hours. In this meeting, there was a discussion about Ukraine and Syria, then the issue of Russia’s intervention in the US presidential election in 2016 was also raised.
During this discussion, Putin had denied intervention in the US election in any way. In this meeting, Putin’s stand was firm, then Trump was in a cordial posture. So even though there was no agreement in this meeting, the first formal meeting was fine and Russia got a diplomatic edge in it.

2017: Trump made controversial statement in second meeting
On 10 November 2017, Trump and Putin met in Vietnam during the APEC summit. In this too, the two leaders discussed Russia’s intervention in the 2016 US election. After this, Trump had said that he believes Putin that he did not interfere in the election.
This statement was considered against the findings of America’s intelligence agencies. Trump’s remarks created a kind of controversy in the US. It was once again considered Putin’s diplomatic strength.

Helsinki Summit 2018: Putin’s favor later overturned
Putin and Trump met in Finland during the Helsinki summit on 16 July 2018, which was the most talked about. It was a very private talk, in which Russia had provided two -speakers. Syrian War, Ukraine and START had an extension in the discussion. After this meeting, Donald Trump held a joint press conference with Putin.
In this, Trump once again said that he considers Putin’s refusal about Russia’s intervention in the 2016 US election. Once again, Trump’s statement became to call American intelligence agencies a liar. This caused Trump to face sharp criticism in the US and also damaged his image. At the same time, Putin clearly got another diplomatic victory from this meeting. However, later Trump was overturned by his talk and said that he had spoken wrongly.

2019: Trump said, do not interfere in Putin election
On 1 December 2018, both were to meet in Buenos Aires of Argentina during the G20 summit, which was canceled by the American. The reason for this was told by Trump to seize Ukraine’s naval ships from Russia. Despite this, both of them had informal discussions during a personal dinner. When Trump canceled the meeting, Russia was under pressure, but Putin was also strengthened by informal conversation.
On 28 June 2019, Trump and Putin met once again during the G20 summit. During this meeting in Osaka, Japan, the issue of intervention and Ukraine was discussed again in the 2016 elections. Then Trump jokingly said that Putin should not interfere in the election.
2025: The result did not come out in Alaska either

He emphasized that the root cause of this war would have to be abolished before a concrete agreement. At the same time, Trump claimed that many issues have been agreed between the two leaders.
