Apart from this, if you are planning to go here by train, then you will have to get down at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, because Sikkim does not have any major junction of its own. Jalpaiguri also lies at a distance of at least 90 or 100 kilometers. You will have to take a bus from here to Namchi or you can take a sharing taxi which is comfortable. Namchi district is well connected by road to all the major cities and towns of Sikkim, so you do not face much trouble in reaching.
