China has been continuously claiming Arunachal Pradesh as its part, which it calls ‘Jangnan’. Recently, an Arunachal-born woman, Prema Wangjom Thongdok, was detained at Shanghai Airport and her passport was confiscated. Chinese officials say he has a passport. The Indian Foreign Ministry lodged a strong protest calling it a violation of international rules. Spokesperson Nandhir Jaiswal clearly said, “Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India, no claim of China can change it.”​

Here, large scale programs were organized in the schools of Arunachal on the completion of 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram’. Small children were seen singing songs loudly in Muktur Middle School, Tawang. Hundreds of students performed mass singing at 137 centers in Papum Pare district, Lohit, Rajiv Gandhi University and Abotani Vidya Niketan. These videos are spreading rapidly on social media, where children are showing patriotism by singing the national anthem in unison.
