Wolf terror is increasing in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. Within 24 hours the wolf made two innocent children its victims. One child was dragged away from her mother, while another child was abducted while playing. There is an atmosphere of panic among the villagers.
There was a sudden movement in the silence of the night, the rustling of the fields and the shadow of some unseen shadow in the darkness. The last twenty-four hours in Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh seemed like the story of a horror movie, where a wolf terrorized the entire area. This wild creature, which had reached human settlements, did not show any mercy even after seeing two innocent lives. The incidents that came to light have raised many questions along with panic in the district.
Wolf terror in Bahraich, two children died
Wolf terror is continuously increasing in Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh. Within just twenty-four hours the wolf made two innocent children its prey. The people of the village had not yet recovered from the shock of the first incident when the second heart-wrenching incident deepened the atmosphere of fear in the entire area.

The wolf dragged away the girl from her mother at night
Rama Devi was sleeping with her ten month old daughter Sunita in Khoriya Shafiq village. When he woke up around 1:30 in the night, he found that his daughter was missing. When the noise was raised, the villagers gathered and a search was immediately started. After several hours of search by the villagers, the girl’s body was recovered from the sugarcane field. The wolf had taken the girl about 500 meters away. By the time the villagers arrived, the wild animal had eaten away one of the girl’s arms and one leg and there were deep wounds on her face.
Forest department told what happened that night
According to Forest Range Officer Vinod Kumar Nayak, Rama Devi was sleeping outside the house in a hut with her daughter. When he woke up at midnight, the girl was not visible. The villagers immediately started searching for the girl and after a few hours her mutilated body was found in the field.
Even a few hours ago a five year old child was attacked
A few hours before this incident, a five-year-old child Roshan was abducted by wolves in Mallahan Purva village of Godhiya number 3 of Kaiserganj area. The child was playing in front of the house when two wolves pounced on him and took him towards the sugarcane field. The family members and villagers surrounded the field with a shout, after which the wolves ran away leaving the child behind. Both Roshan’s hands were eaten by wolves. The child was taken to Bahraich Medical College in critical condition, but he could not be saved.
Panic in the village, administration alert
After both the incidents, there is a situation of fear in Bahraich and surrounding villages. The villagers have demanded security, while the Forest Department has increased patrolling and started searching for the wolf. The local administration has advised people not to stay out alone at night and to keep special vigil on children.
