Gate 2026 sample papers: The application process of GATE 2026 is going to start from 25 August 2025. M.Tech, Me, Ph.D. This is a very important test for engineering and science background candidates wishing to get a job in degree or PSU. This time the exam will be held in February 2026 in four days and the result will come on 19 March 2026. IIT Guwahati has released sample papers and question papers of previous years to help start preparations for Gate 2026. These papers will help students to understand the exam pattern, identify difficult topics and use the time correctly.

The GATE exam is conducted by IITs and IISC every year on the basis of rotation. This time IIT will conduct Guwahati exam. Candidates can download GATE 2026 sample papers from official website gate2026.Iitg.ac.in. This time the new section Energy Science (XE-I) has also been added to the Engineering Sciences category. Candidates are advised not only to pay attention to their main subject, but also start preparations for General Aptitude.

What is gate?
GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is a national level examination, which is conducted to test the knowledge of engineering, technology, architecture and science of candidates. GATE score M.Tech, Me, Ph.D. For example, it is used for admission in postgraduate programs. GATE score is also valid for recruitment in many PSUs. The examination is in computer based mode and the score remains valid for three years.
