All time leading T20 wicket-taker Dwayne Bravo retires from CPL

The charismatic West Indian all-rounder, Dwayne Bravo, has announced his retirement from the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) following the 2024 season.

The 40-year-old veteran made this emotional announcement just hours before his team, Trinbago Knight Riders, kicked off their CPL 2024 campaign against St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, in Basseterre.

Besides he also did not miss out on addressing his fans by reminding them he bowed out from professional cricket in front of the home crowd. It is also worth mentioning that Bravo has been the all-time leading wicket-taker in the history of T20s. to sum up his greatness in the format, the willy pacer claimed 630 wickets during his T20 career.

“It’s been a great journey. Today I would like to announce my retirement from @cplt20. This season will be my last one ☝️ and I’m looking forward to a playing my final professional tournament in front of my Caribbean ppl! @tkriders – where it all started for me and will end with my team that I help built from scratch,” he wrote on his Instagram handle.
