Kareena Kapoor’s Old Remarks About Sridevi, Aishwarya Rai, Ameesha Patel Resurface, Internet Calls Her ‘OG Mean Girl’

Actress Mrunal Thakur recently faced backlash for an old comment about Bipasha Basu. Now, Kareena Kapoor Khan has come under fire for her “mean” remarks about her contemporaries and seniors.

A series of throwback interviews has resurfaced on Reddit, and the internet has a lot to say!

Kareena Kapoor’s Remarks About SLB, Sridevi, and More

In an old interview, Bebo once called filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali a “confused director with no morals” after he chose Aishwarya Rai for the role of Paro in Devdas. When compared to Aishwarya, Kareena said it was “unfair” as they belonged to “different generations.”

She had also commented on Ameesha Patel’s “pimples and dark circles” in a magazine interview after Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai. It didn’t stop at her contemporaries, Kareena even called Salman Khan a “bad actor” and remarked that Sridevi had “no commercial hits.”

Internet REACTS

Reacting to the thread of her old comments, a user wrote, “People think she has changed now but i think she has only become image-conscious. She has always been mean. I still think it was very mean of her to call Sonakshi a house wife material on KWK, that was like hitting someone below the belt. Especially when Sona has always been on the heavier side & had been bullied in school for it.”

Another wrote, “She’s a mean girl for sure. Many know this. If she was today’s actress, then she’d be hugely criticised. She’s talked like that because of her family… Her and Karishma’s attitude is like crazy. They think their family is some King family, but not.”

“I swear she has forever been mean. I don’t know what’s iconic about that. Being disrespectful is not cool,” expressed a netizen.

“Thank god she started at a time when celebrities weren’t crucified for singular statements on social media. But yes, she could use some diplomacy. SRK could teach her,” read a comment.
