Bengaluru: Madanayakanahalli police have successfully solved the case of the burnt body of a youth found in a deserted area of ​​Gangondanahalli. It was the wife who got her husband murdered because he was hindering her in their illicit relationship. In this case, the police have arrested the murdered wife and two youths. A few days ago, a burnt body of an unidentified person was found in the forest area of ​​Gangondanahalli. Identification was difficult as the body was completely burnt. But, with the help of spot investigation, technical assistance and informers, the police conducted a speedy investigation and traced the accused.

The deceased was a resident of Yadgiri

Police investigation revealed that the deceased was Basavaraj (28), a resident of Yadgiri district. He lived in a rented house in Tugalurpalya with his wife Sharanamma. According to the police, Sharanamma and Basavaraj were married four years ago. Basavaraj worked as a mason with Veerbhadra’s father. During this time, Virbhadra used to supervise the workers at the construction site. During these meetings, illicit relations developed between Sharanamma and Veerbhadra. Police said that later this relationship became so deep that they could not live without each other. In this case, Madanayakanahalli police have arrested the accused wife Sharanamma (25), her lover Veerabhadra (19) and Anil, who helped in disposing of the body.

How was the murder brutally committed?

The couple worked as masons with accused Veerbhadra’s father and Veerbhadra used to supervise the labourers. During this time, the closeness between Veerbhadra and Sharanamma grew and illicit relations were formed. When the husband came to know about this, there was a fight in the house. Therefore, about a month ago Sharanamma and Veerabhadra planned to kill Basavaraja. The murder plan was executed on the night of 19 November. That day Basavaraj was sleeping at home after drinking alcohol. Then Sharanamma called Veerbhadra home. As soon as Veerbhadra entered the house, he hit Basavaraj on the head with a heavy stone. Due to this he fell. He was still half dead. After this the accused strangled him to death. Later, Virbhadra took the help of his friend Anil to dispose of the body.

At 12:30 in the night, when everyone was sleeping, the three wrapped the body in old household clothes, put it in a big bag and brought it outside. He bought one liter petrol. They took the body to an isolated area in Gangondanahalli, poured petrol on it and set it on fire. The accused did this heinous act with the intention of destroying the evidence. After all this, Sharanamma went to the Byadarahalli police station and lodged a missing complaint about her husband, so that no one would suspect anything. But by then the police had received information about the murder. After the murder of Basavaraj, the footage of the accused taking away the body in a white car was also captured in the CCTV camera. After registering the case, the police cracked the case by detaining all three on the basis of technical clues, mobile location and local information. The police is preparing to take strict action against the accused.
