Traffic stopped on the highway because of the tiger
English media NDTV has shared this video. A video from Maharashtra’s Chandrapur district has gone viral on social media, capturing a rare but dangerous moment on Chandrapur-Moharli Road near Tadoba. In the footage, a tiger, believed to be the cub of a tigress named Madhu, is seen sitting peacefully in the middle of the road, bringing all vehicular movement to a standstill for hours.
In the viral video, it is seen that a tiger is sitting yawning in the middle of the road. The tiger can also be seen cleaning itself after sitting quietly for a while. Then, the tiger turns to one side and lies down there. Because of the tiger, many vehicles are seen standing on the road without moving.
This incident took place in the buffer zone of Tadoba Tiger Reserve. It is a densely forested area, so natural movement of animals is common here. This is an area where wildlife is often seen. This video has been recorded by local resident Akash Alam. He told that he saw this scene while passing through this route. In his video, both tourists and villagers are seen waiting patiently inside their vehicles. According to reports, the tiger remained there for about an hour and eventually left the spot, allowing the motorists to continue their journey.
Local people say that it is quite common to see wildlife on this road, especially in the morning and evening after dark. Chandrapur-Moharli road is a main travel route for nearby villages. Due to this, conflicts between humans and wild animals have become common. Therefore, forest officials often advise travelers to be cautious, avoid blowing horns and not get out of their vehicles when animals are present.
