Recipe

To make this, first of all put 2 cups of water in a vessel and keep it for boiling. Add a pinch of salt in it. When the water becomes hot i.e. starts boiling completely, then add 1 to 2 teaspoons of ragi flour in it and mix it well so that there are no lumps in it. After this, when the water starts boiling, add the remaining ragi flour all at once but do not mix it, rather cover the vessel on low flame and let it cook for 3 to 4 minutes.

Now mix well with a wooden spoon or mud stick. This paste will thicken and become dough like in 1 to 2 minutes. Cover and let it cook for 2 more minutes so that the ragi gets completely steamed. Now turn off the gas. Apply some water or ghee on your hands and make round balls from the hot paste.

You can eat it with sambar, peas, chicken curry, rasam and dal. It is very easy to make it. Also they are very light weight. You can eat Ragi Mudda by adding some desi ghee on top. This is a healthy option. You can make rasam and ragi muddas instantly.
