Heartwarming reunion! MS Dhoni drops Virat Kohli in his car after reunion at Ranchi residence – Watch

New Delhi: It was a heartwarming reunion that took place in Ranchi as former Indian player MS Dhoni invited some of the cricketers to his place ahead of the ODI series against South Africa. Among the players who paid a visit to the former cricketer’s residence for dinner were star batter Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant and Ruturaj Gaikwad.

The reunion that caught the eye of one and all was between Dhoni and Kohli as the duo snatched all the spotlight on the roads of Ranchi late Thursday evening with the former dropping off the latter in his car after the evening meal.

The video of the drive went viral on social media stirring a storm as both the veterans were seen together after a long time. The gesture of Dhoni was also praised by fans on social media as the were spotted coming out of the residence with Kohli sitting next to Dhoni on the front seat and their car being escorted by a police vehicle.

Meanwhile, Kohli is back in India for the three-match ODI series against South Africa which begins with the first one-dayer beginning this Sunday. Along with Kohli, Rohit has also reached Ranchi as both the players were seen sweating it out in the nets earlier in the day. It was surprising that Rohit was nowhere to be seen when this meeting took place.

The first ODI would be followed by matches in Raipur on December 3 and Vizag on December 6. During the last outing of both Kohli and Rohit, the duo entertained the crowd with perfect knocks in the third ODI against Australia in Sydney. On the other hand, KL Rahul will be at the helm of the affairs in the upcoming ODI series against South Africa, taking over the captaincy from injured Shubman Gill.

Gill suffered a neck injury during the first Test against South Africa in Kolkata and is currently undergoing further medical assessment in Mumbai.
