Which features have been removed in the new base variant of Ultraviolette X-47? Does this electric bike give great performance despite its low price? How special are the range, top speed and riding modes of the new X-47?
AUltraviolette has launched a new and cheaper base variant of its popular electric crossover motorcycle X-47 in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price of this new entry-level variant is Rs 2.49 lakh. With this price it has become the most affordable model of the X-47 series. Considering the budget of Indian customers, this is considered a big step. This motorcycle can accelerate from 0 to 60 kilometers per hour in just 2.8 seconds and its top speed is 145 kilometers per hour. Once fully charged, it can run up to 211 kilometers. Let us know about it in more detail.
Radar system removed to reduce costs
The biggest change in this new base variant has been made in its technology. To reduce the price of the bike, the company has removed the famous ‘HyperSense’ radar system, which earlier came standard in all variants of this series. With the removal of this radar package, riders will no longer get advanced features like blind-spot detection, rear collision warning, lane change assist and overtake alert. However, the removal of these features has directly reduced the price of the bike by ₹15,000, making it much cheaper than its previous ‘original’ variant. Apart from the radar system, all other features and design of the bike remain the same.
Excellent top speed and range
The company has not made any compromise with performance and power. This new variant also has the same powerful 27kW electric motor and 7.1kWh battery pack. The company claims that this motorcycle can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and its top speed is 145 km/h. Once fully charged, this bike gives an excellent range of 211 kilometers (IDC certified). These figures show that despite the low price, it is one of the fastest and powerful electric bikes available in the Indian market.
Safety Features
Despite not having radar technology, this bike is equipped with premium features. For rider safety, features like dual-channel ABS, dynamic stability control, hill-hold assist and parking assist have been provided as standard. Apart from this, for riding enthusiasts, it has been provided with three different modes – Glide, Combat and Ballistic. Connectivity options include Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. With the addition of this new base variant, the Ultraviolette
